April 2 — Reset Workshop [$250]

Our plugged in lives have us practicing poor posture as a rule, whittling away at our joints and connective tissue. Over time, our brains map their aberrant misalignment as normal. RESET focuses on reminding your brain and body what healthy posture feels like, tapping in to your proprioceptors and true "sense of self."

Let us help you rediscover healthy alignment through tissue manipulation, and reeducate your brain and body how to hold that realignment through Pilates.

In your personalized workshop, we will asses your posture, educate you on some basic anatomy and the importance of breath, and RESET your posture and brain through tissue manipulation and Pilates.

All experience levels are welcome. Recommended for anyone struggling with chronic issues from mild headaches to serious nervous system disorders, and those just wanting to learn about their bodies.

Notes:

Meet Your Workshop Instructors

Meredith Coffin, Springboard’s proud owner, sees the undeniable connection between the way one does Pilates and the way one moves through the world.

Meredith began her Pilates education in 2007 with Peak Pilates in Massachusetts. In 2012, Meredith completed the Bridge Program with The Pilates Center of Boulder, under Master Instructors Rachel Taylor Segal and Amy Taylor Alpers. Soon after, Meredith became a Host Advisor for The Pilates Center Teacher Training Programs (TPC), which allows her to foster the next generation of teachers through TPC’s rigorous educational programs right here in Portland, Maine.

Andrea Spencer is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and the founder of Apple Core Therapy in Portland, Maine. Andrea specializes in Myofascial Release/Structural Integration, Deep Tissue, and Cupping with sensitive knowledge of how a healthy diaphragm and pelvis help to maintain realignment. She also has experience in Craniosacral Therapy. She is a Certified Doula and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia. Andrea is excited to empower people who value their health to stay healthy. She believes the body should be treated as a whole, and that massage is an excellent preventative care alternative.
